- Beginner Level - Differenza tra "stare" ed "essere" in italiano (Difference between "Stare" and "essere")

Ciao amici! Hope everything is fine with you! Spero tutto bene!
Today's blog will be about the difference between Stare nd Essere.   Some of you requested me this because there was some confusion.

As you may know "Stare" means "to stay". So, Amina, when is it used??
  • when it indicates a state of feeling ex. "Sto bene, grazie"(I am fine, thanks);
  • Being in a place ex. "Sto al centro commercials" (I am at the shopping mall);
  • To agree ex. "Ci sto!" ( I am in! I agree!);
  • in other exceptions , like way of saying and son on. "Ci stai bene con quel vestito!" (You look good with that dress!)
And the verb "Essere"  means "to be".  When is it used?

  • Laura è una studentessa - Laura is a student; (In the sense of "being" a student)
  • Dove è Maria? - Where is Maria? (being in a place)
Hope it's a little bit clear! Let me know if you still have any doubts!
See you soon take care!
Ciao alla prossima!
